Aruba
Country Profile for COVID-19 Vaccination

December 31, 2023

Introduction

The purpose of this report, prepared by the Pan American Health Organization is to document the progress in COVID-19 vaccination coverage.

The data presented below are provided by the country or extracted from reports published on official sites (see References). The analyzed data comes from the consolidation of vaccines administered since the country began COVID-19 vaccination, incorporating variables that allow deepening the analysis of coverage.

The differences among countries regarding the administered vaccines and established schedules lead to presenting the data considering single doses and first doses (consolidated under the category “At Least One Dose”), as well as the final dose of the primary schedule (in schedules with more than one dose). Countries that have started administering booster/additional doses are also reflected in this report.

Country Information

Demographics

Demographic data is shown below, based on the United Nations (UN) Population Prospects for 2021 and projections from the United States (US) Census Bureau for countries with 100,000 or fewer inhabitants. It is important to note that these population denominators are used throughout the document for the calculation of coverage percentages.

Historical Vaccinations

Historical Doses

From the start of vaccination to the date of this report, a total of 217,124 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.

Cumulative Doses Administered

Monthly Uptake

Monthly uptake reflects the coverage and additional dose increase on a per-month basis.

Vaccination Uptake (Complete Primary Series & Additional/Booster Doses) by month

Cumulative Vaccinations until Last Week

The number of accumulated administered doses up to week 52 of the year 2023 are shown below, differentiating according to the schedules offered (e.g., completed primary series and additional/booster doses). Note that not all countries have information on single doses, as they may not have purchased single-dose vaccines, or it is not possible to disaggregate the information. Similarly, not all countries may have introduced additional/booster doses for their populations.

Coverage

The following graph shows the progress of COVID-19 vaccination coverage. Data are analyzed at the national level, considering at least one dose and complete primary series with booster/additional doses. In addition, the drop-out rate was incorporated, which allows evaluating adherence to the immunization process, that is, what percentage of those who received a first COVID-19 dose completed the primary vaccination schedule established in the country.

Vaccinations and dropout rate up to Week 52 of Year 2023

  • Please note that drop-out rate is calculated as: (first_doses - last_doses) / first_doses * 100, where first_doses and last_doses refer, respectively, to the first and last dose of the primary vaccination schedule, disregarding single-dose vaccines.

Risk Groups Vaccinations Summary

The following table shows the total doses administered at the national level, differentiated by risk group. Only the information that is available is presented, although it is possible that not all the risk groups established by the country are reflected.
